Design Comes to Connecticut: 1860s Farmhouse by Chused & Co.

There must be something in the water in Connecticut that draws all these amazing designers into its stately borders! It is either my obsession with carefully curated farmhouses, or my current obsession with endless colour that draws me to these projects - like a design moth to a designer flame.

The 1860s farmhouse project from Brooklyn-based designer Jenna Chused (Chused & Co) is a beautifully restored family home. The home is bursting with pops of vibrant saturated colour, from the green floors in the kitchen, the cobalt blue in the upstairs office, to the gloss red in the living room. The use of colour is perfectly restrained with swaths of creamy whites, textural prints, and curated antiques. I did not think I needed green kitchen floors until I saw this home, there is something so lively about it that intrigues me.
