One of the most enigmatic designers of late is Giancarlo Valle, his use of colour, texture, and restrained whimsy is incredible. His spaces feel comfortable and intriguing, a hard balance to find when creating unique spaces. The Connecticut Home embraces his wizardry, being able to capture warmth in a perfectly beguiling package.

Giancarlo cleverly melds a unique colour palette with design motifs, namely the use of a tree with small branch projections - note this in the pink bathroom, bedroom, and along the top of the gorgeous sink basin cabinet. The use of soft pink, ruddy red, and shades of green evoke nature and European classicalism.

The decals used in the dining room are incredible. The tonal effect on the wall, clad in a finish that provides beautiful movement and texture, creates something so much more than a simple wallpaper.

Another design motif that works so well in these spaces is the use of a graphical outline. You can see this in these two spaces, by using a ribbon-like effect around the perimeter of the walls it creates a beautiful framing effect.
